Day 2 Xining (Qinghai province) + New Photos!

I thought my second day in Xining would be quite useless. But actually it gave me the chance to get some mental rest and eat like crazy. When we woke up, we got some lamb noodle soup near the hotel for 5 yuan. Afterwards, we walked to a food market, where we got alot of grilled octopus skewers. These are really great! They cost 5 mao a piece. This course was followed by some steamed buns filled with meat. These dishes were our appetizers. The grand finally was the large wonton soup（5 yuan) with grilled lamb skewers (3 yuan for 5). This soup was quite filling. So afterwards, we decided to put our food fest on a hold. We decided to kill our time with an haircut. This was just 10 yuan. You know that my hair doesn't need alot of attention, but the barber managed to spend a whole half hour on cutting my hair. I didn't notice any difference with me shaving my hair in 5 minutes, but I gave him 5 yuan tip for the effort. Our food was a little bit digested after the cut, so we could squeeze in a couple of grilled octopus skewers.
While eating, we wandered around in the long and crowded shopping streets and malls. They sell every kind of crap at these malls. We just looked around and bargained for fun. At a certain point after seeing millions of stuff, I had the urge to buy something useless. So I bought a pair of binoculars. I bought them for 75 yuan. I'm not sure if i'm going to use it. Maybe it will come in handy during the trekking in Yunnan. But they feel pretty useless at the moment.
After a while, the eating and walking became boring. So we decided to do something else. Why not chill in a pool and a sauna? So we did. This place provided all the extras, like shaving equipment and toothbrushes. We left the place clean and shiny like a polished car. Ok so that was actually our day untill now. Pretty boring right? I wouldn't want to do this every day, but it did got me recharged for the adventurious Yunnan. I will probably write something more interesting by then. My apologies...

Feng, you lucky bastard! As I count your posts, I see you are a productive writer over there. Over here it is raining all the time, and there is no cheapy ass food either. You made some nice pictures over there. Enjoy the good life, eat some food for me and greet crazy Jacky!
