Ok, so thursday I was in Bhaktapur right? I stayed in a very nice hotel and I was planning a whole day in that city. Afterwards I would tell you some more about that right? Unfortunately, that didn't go as planned. That was because of the sudden visit of my friend Diarrhea. He just decided to drop by and he seemed very glad to see me. So I didn't want to be rude and I cancelled my plans for him. I think it was because of all the vegetables I ate, plus the portions which jacky passed on to me. He said he don't like vegetables. Yeah right. I should have known better. Stupid me. So from now on I only eat properly cooked stuff.
Anyways, we hanged out in the hotel until checkout time (12am) and we took the bus back to Kathmandu. Then we arranged all the stuff for our Tibet trip, like paying the tour, doing laundry, getting some gear and some food for on the road. In Kathmandu, especially the Thamel district, there are alot of outdoor shops. Although they mostly sell fake stuff, but the quality is pretty decent. As long you are not using it in extreme weather conditions, you should be fine. As real chinese people, we visited several stores to bargain for the best price. We noticed that unlike the chinese, the nepalese people are not very eager to sell them your stuff. In china, merchants would persuade you till the last moment to settle the deal. In nepal they stop at one price adjustment and that's it. I think this micro level example of how nepalese people do business compared to the chinese, explains the great economic growth of china. It's just in their blood.
So that's about everything I did that day. My Nepal adventure was coming to an end and a new Tibet adventure would start. I have seen alot of things in the last 7 days. In the beginning, Nepal was no more than a pit-stop to Tibet and in the end it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip (especially compared to Tibet, read my next message). It's an amazing country and I would definitely come back one day. I really need to go to Pokhara. I'll save the best for last...
